Pink pebble drop earrings

I love making these little glass pebbles and each one is unique. I find the closest match to make a pair of earrings.

I start by choosing the colours I want to use and then stacking little sheets of glass in the kiln. The magic happens when the glass gets hot enough to flow and the colours run into and over each other.  Each firing takes twenty four hours and it takes two or three days to get the layered look I love. The pebbles are shiny when they come out of the kiln so I tumble them in fine grit to create the soft matt surface that makes them so tactile.
